This is a recording of the monthly meeting of Solidarity Lowell in June, 2026. Our featured speaker was Jessica Wisocky, APRN, from Pathway to Better Health. She been caring for the LGBTQIA+ community for more than a decade.

With expertise in sexual health and HIV treatment, Jess has been on the cutting edge of advances in caring for the LGBTQIA+ community throughout her career. She was an early adopter of long-acting injectables for HIV prevention and treatment and was instrumental in obtaining access to these medications for the people living in the in the Merrimack Valley.

During the Monkey Pox outbreak in the summer of 2022, Jess was on the front lines, setting up a local screening and treatment facility so people wouldn’t have leave their communities to travel to the large academic medical centers in Boston to receive care.

Our featured speaker was State Representative Vanna Howard, who we have endorsed for State Senate in the special election primary on February 3rd, 2026. She came to the United States at 11 years old, after surviving a communist genocide. She lost her dad, three siblings, and grandparents, and faced homelessness, hunger, and domestic violence, but this community got her through it.

She has dedicated her life to giving back. From working for Congresswoman Niki Tsongas helping constituents in Lowell, Dracut, Pepperell, Tyngsborough, and Dunstable, to serving in the District Attorney’s Office, and volunteering with more than 50 nonprofits. As State Representative, she has secured millions to combat the housing crisis, strengthen childcare, and make our community safer.
