What is Solidarity Lowell?
Solidarity Lowell is a volunteer group of community members of Greater Lowell working toward social justice and standing together against hate and discrimination. We are a chapter of Progressive Massachusetts and encourage you to join PM and sign up for their excellent mailing list.
We respond to the needs of the community by
- connecting people
- coordinating actions using appropriate tactics
- collecting and disseminating information related to social justice
- identifying resources
- organizing events
- collaborating on projects with other community organizations
- facilitating education and fostering community dialog
Solidarity Lowell is non-partisan; our members have a range of political and philosophical viewpoints and spiritual faiths. While we encourage debate and discussion on key issues, we affirm that we stand unequivocally against hate and discrimination in all its forms, and we work to promote peace, civil liberties, human rights, and social justice.
How Can I Join?
Our meetings are held on the 4th Sunday of every month (unless there is a major holiday) at Christ Church United (CCU), at 1 Bartlett Street, Lowell. Check our events calendar to confirm.
