This two-day symposium is organized by the student and faculty leaders of the Tufts Prison Initiative (TUPIT). The symposium focuses on education in prison and solitary confinement. It will provide multiple perspectives on the value of higher education in prison in the context of a critique of mass incarceration and the prison system itself.
