Lowell Talks: Memorializing Mill Girls

How do we remember the mill girls who worked in Lowell, Mass.? How did they choose to be memorialized in death?
For this community conversation, we will be joined by UMass Lowell English Professor Bridget Marshall. Professor Marshall has conducted extensive research on Lowell mill girls. In addition to examining their literary lives, Prof. Marshall has written about graves and memorials erected in honor of Lowell’s working women.
