Honoring the Strength of Central American Women

Join Oxfam America, Centro Presente and WBUR CitySpace for an evening going beyond the border crisis to honor the courage and strength of the women of Central America. A panel of women leaders moderated by reporter Shannon Dooling will take a closer look at the realities facing women in Central America- the reasons that drive them to flee and how some are staying to fight for their communities. There will also be a moving exhibit featuring portraits and stories from the region.

As we celebrate the resiliency of these women, enjoy music from Boston’s all-female Latin band 3Nity and free refreshments from La Qchara, including empanadas, tequenos and datiles.
