Community Conversation: What Does it Mean to be Welcoming?

Welcoming Week’s Community Conversation is a public event open to all residents who would like to discuss this important question: What does it mean to be a Welcoming Community?

Moderator and UMass-Lowell Distinguished Professor of History Robert Forrant will dive into the question with a panel of community representatives, then invite audience members to comment and pose additional questions.

Panelists represent key areas of service to Lowell residents:
– Eileen Donoghue, City Manager – city government
– Susan Levine, CEO of the Lowell Community Health Center – health care
– Emma Tobin, Lowell Program Director, International Institute of New England – nonprofit sector
– Karen Fredericks, CEO of Community Teamwork – nonprofit sector
– Jamie Gabriel, Chief Human Resources Officer at Enterprise Bank and Trust – business sector
