50 Miles More – Stand against Gun Violence

Continuing the 50 Miles More #50more in #50states challenge, the young people of Massachusetts are standing against gun violence with a four-day, 50 mile march from the city hall of Worcester, MA to Smith & Wesson headquarters in Springfield, MA. With this march we urge Smith & Wesson to become a part of the solution to a problem they remain complicit in.

In a joint effort from Stop Handgun Violence, March For Our Lives Boston, and a number of other organizations, we respond to 50 Miles More’s call to action. We are sick of manufacturers falling to greed, and prioritizing money over the safety of our communities. As angry and determined students we will not remain silent. We march.

MARCH DETAILS

The morning of Wednesday, August 22nd busses will depart from Boston and Springfield toward Worcester. The march will leave from Worcester on August 23rd, and arrive in Springfield on August 26th. If you can’t make the whole march or you know others who want to join, everyone, of any age, is invited to a rally outside Smith & Wesson headquarters at 2100 Roosevelt Ave Springfield, MA on the 26th.
