Fine art photographer Garry Harley will lecture on the relationship between the arts and politics. His recent work — a response to the current socio-political environment — will be put in the historical context of politically motivated art. The lecture will include works that were shown last year in the controversial State of the Union exhibition at Salem State University. Harley’s lecture will be concurrent with an exhibition of his work in ALL’s Greenwald Gallery entitled “What is Aleppo?” The show runs until September 3. In December, several of the images from the ALL exhibit will be shown at MIAMI BASEL.
