Join us to rally with striking Marriott workers and say one job should be enough! On October 20, the biggest hotel company in the world will hear us from Boston and more cities across the U.S. and Canada.
On October 3, workers walked out at seven Marriott-operated hotels, including the Aloft Boston Seaport District, the Element Boston Seaport District, the Ritz-Carlton Boston, the Sheraton Boston, the W Hotel Boston, the Westin Boston Waterfront, and the Westin Copley Place. This is the first hotel strike in Boston’s history.
Marriott is the largest and most profitable hotel chain in the world, but UNITE HERE Local 26 workers in Boston have had their contracts expire as they struggle to win basic job security, safer working conditions, and jobs that are enough to support their families. Although UNITE HERE workers provide the exemplary guest services that keep Marriott profitable, too many find that when you work at Marriott, one job is not enough. Workers are making a sacrifice to win jobs that are enough to live in the communities where they work and have the dignity of job security and workplace safety. Please help us make this a reality.
See you in the streets October 20! #MarriottStrike #1job
