2018 Lowell Earth Day Parade and Festival

We invite organizations, individuals and families to the streets of downtown Lowell to celebrate the Greening of our city with a mile-long parade featuring The Party Band, local schools, puppets, costumes, and eco-conscious groups from the area.

Parade start: Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center (246 Market Street)
Parade finish/Festival location: UTEC Lowell 35 Warren St, Lowell, MA 01852

11:30 AM: Pre-Parade Activities at NHP
12:00 PM: Begin to line up for parade
12:30 PM: Parade starts / Earth Day Festival Opens at UTEC
1:00 PM: Parade arrives at UTEC
4:00 PM: Festival closes

Participation in the Festival:

Immediately following the parade, we’ll be holding a fun sustainability festival for all participants and the general public. Reserving a spot in the festival gives you a chance to showcase your organization and connect with audience members in creative ways. To get you thinking, in the past we have seen organizations do some of the following:

· play a toss game with recyclable materials for prizes

· give away items made from recyclable goods

· pass out pamphlets about their organizations and have a sign up sheet to learn more about the organization
