Ghana Independence Day and Flag Raising

Members of the Ghanaian community of Greater Lowell will celebrate their 62nd independence day with music, dance, food, and discussion. The Ghanaian flag will be raised outside City Hall, and the rest of the festivities will be indoors.

Attendees will learn from some of the best progressive campaign operatives in Massachusetts. The curriculum is a condensed version of a longer, two-day training offered by Mass Alliance and will focus on the basics you will need for a Spring 2019 municipal campaign. Final Push! No MBTA Fare Hikes!

The MBTA’s governing board will vote on the proposed fare hikes this Monday, at their meeting, but not before hearing public testimony from anyone who signs up. Join us there to speak up in this final push and keep up pressure on transit equity and sustainable funding, NOT regressive fare hikes!
