Sewage in the Merrimack: The problem and solutions

November 7, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Do you want to learn more about the problem of massive releases of sewage into the Merrimack, and ways you can help improve the situation? Please come to our slideshow discussion Nov. 7 at Andover Public Library’s Memorial Hall at 7 p.m.
The MRWC has been gathered a substantial amount of data on the issue, and been an active participant in local efforts to combat the problem. We’ve also been a key player in state legislation intended to alert the public to sewage releases. This event will give a comprehensive view of the problem, potential solutions, and ways that the public can help bring about change. We’ll also have a public discussion of the CSO problem — we are seeking comments and suggestions from local residents.
This is the second in a series of events we’ll be holding in the Merrimack Valley regarding this issue. Our first event was held in Newburyport on Oct. 18 and drew a crowd of 150 citizens and public officials.
