Commemorates African American Emancipation Day, the day that emancipation was finally recognized throughout the states, when federal troops arrived in Galveston, TX, the most remote of the states where slavery had been legal and announced the Emancipation Proclamation and enforced it. There will be free food and information at this event.

Protestors will gather at Chelmsford Center to hear the history of Juneteenth, the purpose of the march and be reminded of safety information before departing.
