SUMMARY:Boston Labor Day March!
DESCRIPTION:From the border to New England and all over the country\, hard-working immigrants are being criminalized\, detained\, deported and separated from their families. We need to come together to say enough is enough! \nThis Labor Day\, lets stand together to uplift the immigrant workers who built our country while advocating for crucial legislation in MA\, including access to driver’s licenses for all regardless of immigration status. Join us as we will also honor this march in remembrance of our late union President\, Héctor Figueroa\, a fearless giant and immigrant rights champion. \nAn attack on immigrants\, is an attack on all of us. Let’s stand together and fight back! \nMARCH START LOCATION: Copley Square\nMARCH END LOCATION: Boston Commons (Bandstand area)\nTIME: 11 am \nPerformances throughout the day by:\n– Honk Band\n– Foundation Movement \nCo-Sponsors:\n– SEIU State Council\n– Indivisible Massachusetts\n– 1199SEIU Massachusetts\n– Driving Families Forward\n– MCAN – Massachusetts Communities Action Network\n– Brazilian Worker Center/Centro do Trabalhador Brasileiro\n– Massachusetts Interfaith Worker Justice\n– The Chelsea Collaborative\n– Field First
