Margot has held a variety of leadership roles in local and regional organizations\, bringing a focus on promoting healthy communities to her work. She joined the C4RJ Board of Directors in 2013\, and has served as President of the Board since 2016. The recent flooding that has become commonplace in coastal regions of the Commonwealth and the abnormal climate patterns of recent years seen around the globe illustrate the urgency surrounding this issue\, and demonstrates to all of us that swift action is needed.\nAs the Chair of the Senate Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change\, Senator Pacheco has been one of the Massachusetts Legislature’s foremost experts on climate change\, helping to position the Commonwealth as a national leader on climate change mitigation and climate resiliency policy. Meaningful action to address the devastating impact of climate change will depend on cooperation and collaborative efforts at the federal\, state\, and local levels. It is my hope that this event will provide an occasion to discuss what each of us can do to contribute to these efforts.\nParking available on the street or in the Early Garage at 135 Middlesex Street.
